Our Garden

We finally decided that our garden needed some freedom. We elected to let it be and see what would happen.

This is a hard decision for us as we like to cultivate our garden to grow the best we know how, watering, feeding, picking out the weeds.

There are advantages to both sides of this decision.

The garden, while it has the main plants, does breed based on seeds blown in, hybrids and just generally plants there over the seasons. This breeds hardiness in the plants as they have to be stronger to survive. They can fight for their own space and resources. This should lead to better crops, heartier, more colorful.

This could also lead to rot, disease, bugs and overgrowth. The plants may go wild and grow everywhere without a care for their neighbor resulting in less crops and poorer offshoots.

I think in the end the garden, like all gardens, needs to flourish. The best method of gardening can be found in a million books with as many right answers. I hope ours becomes of those preferred ways.
